Dallas, TX - The Ruth Cheatham Foundation (TRCF), a nonprofit focused on supporting adolescent youth through all phases of cancer treatment, is pleased to announce its first annual gala and fundraiser. The Gala will be held in Dallas, TX at the Omni Dallas Hotel on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 6:00PM.

As part of the event, TRCF plans on offering a limited number of Sponsorship and Group Packages for purchase, VIP Tickets and General Admission Tickets.  The event will include a silent auction provided by its corporate partners, dinner and drinks, musical performance by the Turtle Creek Chorale, presentations by celebrity speakers and much more!  This year’s celebrity speakers, who are volunteering their time to be there, are:  five-time Olympic medalist, Nastia Liukin and Emmy-nominated television host, Amy Vanderoef.

“We are extremely thrilled and grateful to Nastia and Amy. The fact they are donating time out of their hectic schedules for us is both humbling and exciting. It says a lot about our cause and how there is a shared passion to give back with both of them which is no surprise given their track record in supporting charities.” said Douglas Whittemore, Treasurer and Co-Founder. “If you told me a year ago we would be hosting an Olympic gold medalist and a well-known TV personality, I would have said we are ambitious but not crazy.  We are very fortunate to have them speak and inspire.”

Corporate sponsorships, group packages, VIP and individual tickets are available for purchase today on TRCF website under its Gala page.  They expect to continue to announce details of the night and its program in the coming months.

Dallas, TX - The Ruth Cheatham Foundation (TRCF), a nonprofit focused on supporting adolescent youth through all phases of cancer treatment, is pleased to announce its first major fundraiser and launch party. The Fundraiser will be held in Dallas, TX at the Blue Mesa Grill on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 7 PM.

“I don't think any of us expected the response we have seen out of the gate. We are thrilled with amount of support we have garnered from local businesses.  My concern now, is to ensure the demand for the event does not outpace the capacity of our venue” said Douglas Whittemore, Treasurer and Co-Founder. “It’s a good problem to have, we look forward to meeting all those that are interested in supporting us and our mission.

As part of the event, TRCF plans on offering a limited number of VIP packages for purchase; remaining seating will be free on a first-come first-served basis.  The event will offer a silent auction and raffle provided by its corporate partners.

“One of our first initiatives will be to bolster resources and technology at Children’s Medical Center library” said Angie Cheatham, Secretary and Board Member. “We are looking to fill the need for e-reader devices at Children’s Medical Center, allowing patients to utilize ebooks and additional educational technology throughout their treatment.  This is one of many ways we are able to enhance the treatment process while in the hospital”.

“None of this would be possible without our corporate partners. Dallas has some of the most community minded businesses out there” said Caren Van-Pelt, Board Member.  “We have truly been humbled and are overwhelmed by the support we have seen”
