TRCF Teams up with Oncospark & Outamation to pack 300 Educational Support Boxes For Young Adult Cancer Survivors
This year, with support from Oncospark & Outamation, The Ruth Cheatham Foundation packaged 300 Educational Support Boxes to help young cancer survivors prepare not only for another year of school, but for what comes next.
With the theme Fuel Your Future, this year’s boxes focused on career readiness and giving TRCF Scholars practical tools to help them confidently take their next steps toward the workforce.
And thanks to the incredible support of OncoSpark and Outamation, we were able to bring it all together.
Packed With Purpose
For TRCF Scholars, graduation is an important milestone, but it's not the finish line. As they pursue internships, prepare for interviews, enter the workforce, and build careers, we want them to know they have a community invested in where they're headed.
This year's 300 Educational Support boxes are one more reminder of exactly that.
Each Fuel Your Future themed box includes everyday school essentials like a planner, folders, notebooks, sticky notes, pens, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers, along with a fidget stress toy and additional TRCF resources.
At the heart of this year’s box was a career guide created specifically with our scholars in mind. It includes resume and interview tips, guidance on advocating for yourself in the workplace as a cancer survivor, and valuable resources scholars can turn to as they prepare for their careers.
Together, these tools are designed to help scholars stay organized today while building confidence for tomorrow.
300 Boxes, One Incredible Community
Packing 300 Educational Support Boxes is no small task, and we are immensely grateful to have support from Oncospark and Outamation for the third year in a row as our hosts for the packing event. (I think I remembered you mentioning this is the 3rd year in a row, but if I need to update that let me know!!)
Their team provided the space, time, and helping hands needed to turn thousands of individual supplies into 300 completed boxes ready to reach TRCF Scholars.
